Town of Gramercy Environmental Engineering Services, Inc. - LaPlace, La. Lead Design
Engineer - Oscar Boudreaux, P.E. Project Description This project, completed in October 2002, consisted
of an
aerated lagoon constructed within the boundaries of an existing faculative
lagoon. The 840,000 gallon aerated lagoon consists of one complete mix cell, two
settling and partially aerated cells, and one final settling cell. The complete
mix cell has eight (8) 7.5hp surface aerators while the second intermediate cell
has two (2) 7.5hp surface aerators. The third cell consists of two (2)
5hp surface aerators. The headworks are three 1.0 MGD static Andritz fine
screens. An effluent box was installed to allow the operator to vary the ten
(10) foot water depth as needed. The existing effluent pump station and
chlorination system completed the process system. Project Data
