Project Description

The project required the installation of a steel tank, activated sludge/extended aeration treatment plant. The steel plant would have an exterior aeration basin with a center clarifier. A 25,000 gallon sludge digestor would occupy a portion of the exterior aeration chamber. The existing chlorine contact chamber was expanded to provide adequate detention time. A new plant pump was required. The existing 45,000 gallon steel aeration tank was converted to an aerobic sludge digestor. The combination of the new and existing tank digestor would allow the District to meet Class B biosolids.
